The Wireless Modem is an item from ComputerCraft, which allows wireless transmissions through the Rednet to Computers and Turtles which have Wireless Modems.
In order to use a Wireless Modem, place it on a Computer, or craft a Turtle with it. Then, the modem must be wrapped as a peripheral using peripheral.wrap. Now, signals can be sent through the Rednet. Rednet signals have a maximum range of 384 blocks. Though, these signals will be instantly sent, allowing for private chat rooms. Turtles can be controlled wirelessly, and more than one at a time, which makes mining expeditions a breeze!
