The NanoSuit is a type of armor added by IndustrialCraft2, consisting of the NanoSuit Helmet, NanoSuit Bodyarmor, NanoSuit Leggings, and NanoSuit Boots. Unlike other types of armor, the NanoSuit needs to be charged with EU, and consumes EU instead of taking damage (durability). A full suit of Nano armor gives 18 armor points (9 full armor icons). It provides negligible protection when uncharged. Each piece has a maximum charge of 100,000 EU. The main ingredient of Nano Armor is Carbon Plates. Nano Armor can be upgraded to Quantum Armor if desired, though this is very expensive due to the required materials. Nano Armor can be charged in an MFE, MFSU, or a Charge-O-Mat. An active Nano Saber can easily destroy Nano Armor. Since this armor requires so much coal, it is highly adviced to save up on coal, even when you are just starting out. This armor also requires a good amount of diamond so save up on those too.

To help save up the many pieces of coal needed, do these things as often as possible:

  1. use scaffold as a fuel instead of coal, both to save the coal, and because scaffold is more than twice as efficient anyway.
  2. use charcoal for crafting torches, since only coal can be used for the NanoSuit, and not charcoal.
